Chilean air services company Ecocopter acquired three new Airbus H125 helicopters and one H145, in order to increase its helicopter fleet and expand its operations in Chile, Peru and Ecuador.

The new helicopters will gradually join one of the most modern fleets in the Southern Cone, which currently consists of 18 aircraft, all manufactured by Airbus. In a visit to the French aeronautical company’s facilities, the Ecocopter delegation saw in situ the manufacturing progress and closed the purchase of the helicopters that had already been advanced at the Heli-Expo 2022 fair held in Dallas, Texas.
Ecocopter has 13 units of the H125, two H135, and three H145 / EC145 models for its operations. The new helicopters will be used for the different types of aerial work and services provided by the company, mainly in the mining sector, energy, telecommunications, aeromedical transfers, forest firefighting, and a wide range of aerial missions.
The helicopters acquired will be delivered in two phases; the first at the end of this year and the second phase in mid-2023. The aircraft will be added to the fleet operating in Chile, Peru and Ecuador.
