Must be knowledgeable of the applicable Manufacturer maintenance manual, company operations specifications, FARs, and applicable portions of the company operations and maintenance manuals. Language Skills: Professional verbal/written communication skills required. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret aviation business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and customers. Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be computer literate in MS Office, with the ability to learn new software as required. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Must have A P-FAA certification. Must have a valid driverrsquo;s license. IA preferred. Other Qualifications: Must be able to travel to airbases, customer sites, and other locations in support of company operations.

Job Description

RLC, LLC is seeking a Chief Inspector to develop, implement, and monitor the inspection program for both the Part 135 Air Carrier and the Part 145 Repair Station Certificates to ensure that the maintenance of aircraft and associated equipment conforms to Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations and manufacturersrsquo; specifications. Works closely with all maintenance staff to ensure adherence to all standards, policies, and procedures and serves as a liaison with local FAA. Works closely with the Director of Maintenance related to Part 135 Air Carrier responsibilities and the Part 145 Accountable Manager of Aircraft Maintenance related to Part 145 Repair Station responsibilities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Supervise and direct personnel assigned to Quality Control including personnel delegated inspection functions.
Provide inspection coverage as specified by the task being performed, to ensure the task is properly completed.
Final review of paperwork for completeness. Ensure that appropriate entries are made in permanent maintenance records and that only authorized signatures are used for airworthiness release and log book entries
Maintain in current status documents and log book entries, technical information necessary to perform maintenance, preventative maintenance, and alterations.
Maintain in current status, pertinent FARrsquo;s, FAA Advisory Circulars, FAA Type Certificate Data Sheets for Aircraft, Engines and Propellers, and FAA Airworthiness Directives.
Monitor aircraft discrepancy records to ascertain that corrective action has been taken on all mechanical irregularities listed by the pilot, in accordance with procedures specified in the manual.
Submit reports of defects or un-airworthy conditions to the FAA if warranted.
Ensure proper execution of the prescribed FAA forms for major repair or major alteration.
Assist any authorized representative of the FAA in conducting an inspection of company-operated aircraft or company facilities.
Will initiate any changes found necessary in the maintenance inspection program and its policies and procedures to ensure compliance by analysis and surveillance
Gather and record data sufficient to monitor the performance reliability of the aircraft, components, accessories, and appliances
Is the main representative to the FAA on day-to-day part 135 and 145 issues?
Authorizes deferred maintenance items to the MEL. Authorizes special flight permits as required
Authorized to change and sign part 135 and 145 operation specifications
Reviews and approves/records persons performing RII functions for 135 aircraft
Develop and maintain all required part 135 and 145 manuals including the development of forms as necessary
Perform self-evaluation of the repair station when adding items to the capabilities list
Compile and review information for the Part 135 CASS
Establish procedures for all air carrier aircraft worked on by the repair station
Responsible for developing part 135 aircraft MELs for approval by the FAA
Responsible for developing Maintenance / Inspection Programs for 10 or more aircraft
Collaborate on, support, and implement the initiatives and directives of senior management
