Honeywell International Inc. Takes Delivery Of An AgustaWestland AW139 Helicopter

AgustaWestland is pleased to announce that Honeywell International Inc. has taken delivery of an AW139 medium twin turbine helicopter during an official ceremony at Heli-Expo 2008 in Houston, Texas, today. The helicopter will be used for corporate transport purposes.

The AW139 will be based at the Morristown Municipal Airport in Morristown, N.J., which is the location of Honeywell Corporate Headquarters. The aircraft will be put into immediate service in the New York metropolitan area. Its service will reach as far south as Honeywell facilities in Richmond, Virginia, and as far north as Boston. The Northeast Corridor is one of the busiest regions of the country for aircraft making this outstanding aircraft all the more valuable to Honeywell as a critical tool that will ensure and facilitate its business activities and help the company deliver on our business commitments. The AW139 will be taking over the primary role of transporting company executives, employees and customers.

As the best selling medium twin in the world with more than 330 orders from over 80 customers in more than 30 countries so far, the AW139 has set new standards against which all new medium twin will be measured. Designed with inherent multi-role capability and flexibility of operation, the AW139 is capable of carrying up to 15 passengers or six litters with two medical attendants or up to four litters and four medical attendants at the highest speed, in the most spacious cabin and with the best power reserve of any other helicopter in its class. The AW139 has achieved unequalled success in the world market for many applications including VIP/corporate transport, offshore transport, SAR, EMS, law enforcement, utility and various government tasks. AW139 final assembly lines are located in Vergiate, Italy and Philadelphia, USA.
