Metro Aviation recently delivered a new Airbus H125 helicopter to the Texas Game Wardens, a division of Texas Parks and Wildlife Department.

The Texas Game Wardens have used aviation assets since 1930. This new aircraft joins their existing H125 and two new Cessna fixed-wing aircraft on the way.

“With the delivery of the new 2023 Airbus H125 completed by Metro Aviation, along with our 2014 H125, we will have a strong fleet of AStar helicopters in the Texas Parks and Wildlife Aviation Unit,” said Game Warden chief pilot Brandon Rose.

Metro Aviation equipped the new aircraft with a Cargo Swing, L3 Wescam thermal imager and moving map, XM radio and audio, and a searchlight. These additions, along with other mission essential equipment such as a 17-inch touchscreen monitor, programmable video switch with push button source switching, DVR, flip-down 10-inch monitor, a data converter to crossfill point data from the moving map to the Garmin NavCom, PA loud hailer, DZM Flight Cell and Sat Phone, Garmin Traffic computer and the state-of-the-art Garmin autopilot, significantly enhance the aircraft’s capabilities.

The Game Wardens are responsible for conservation law enforcement, search and rescue missions, aerial firefighting, and more.

This press release was prepared and distributed by Metro Aviation.
