SPAES, an EASA Part 21J Design and 21G Production Organization, has announced the successful completion of a Minor Change project in a MD Helicopters for a customer. The project involved the installation of GTN 750Xi, GNC 255, and MD41-1510 Annunciator, which has enhanced the helicopter’s avionics system and improved its overall performance. The new avionics system provides advanced features such as touchscreen displays, GPS navigation, and communications capabilities, making the helicopter more efficient and safer. The new system offers increased situational awareness for pilots, providing them with access to real-time information to help them make informed decisions while flying.

After the installation, a comprehensive Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) Test and Function Tests was completed to ensure the new avionics system was fully operational and met all regulatory requirements. The results of both tests were positive, and the helicopter was approved for flight.
