Auckland and Texas-based helicopter sales and support company Volation Limited has announced the successful delivery of six Bell 206 B3 helicopters to the Helicopter Institute in Dallas Fort Worth, Texas. The company’s engineering and logistics team preserved, dismantled, and packed the aircraft for ocean freight and co-ordinated a comprehensive FAA Import Certificate of Airworthiness as part of the return to service programme intended to modernize the avionics for the mission of flight training in 2023.
Stephen Boyce, the owner of Volation, expressed his satisfaction with the Helicopter Institute’s decision to buy the six identical platforms already configured for IFR/NVFR and ab-initio training.
“Our business model optimizes our industry experience to understand what part of the world helicopter market is best suited to the resale of a particular aircraft. I decided to work out of Texas because these Jet Rangers had a lot of appeal from added extras like Air Conditioning, VH Tail Rotor Blades, and FDC Filters. Outside the equatorial regions, air conditioning is optional and expensive to remove but when the Texas summer is making it hard to breathe… its highly appreciated,” said Boyce.
Volation congratulates the Helicopter Institute on their purchase and is pleased to see the Jet Rangers still in action in the home of Bell Helicopters.
