Are you a helicopter pilot who has flown with a helicopter terrain awareness and warning system (HTAWS) in the past three years? If so, Vertical would like to hear from you.

Vertical’s first-ever HTAWS survey is now open and accepting responses through Nov. 26. This is an independent, safety-focused survey designed by Vertical and conducted by the third-party research firm PMG Intelligence.

Your feedback will help us learn how HTAWS is being used in helicopter operations today and understand its advantages and limitations. The results will be published in a future issue of Vertical, and we also plan to share this data with HTAWS manufacturers and independent experts to help inform recommendations for how to make HTAWS better. However, your individual responses will remain completely anonymous, and you will not be contacted without your permission as a result of your responses.

Vertical readers have a wealth of experience that comes from operating helicopters under demanding conditions in the real world,” said publisher Mike Reyno. “With our HTAWS survey, we want to collect their valuable insights in a way that can help shape the next generation of safety-enhancing products.”

Pilots can access the survey online here.
