California-based Archer Aviation shared a glimpse into the latest progress in its flight test program for the Maker eVTOL demonstrator aircraft. The new video shows the Maker carrying out a low-altitude hover, which Matt Deal, flight test lead at Archer, said helps the company determine the stability characters of its aircraft. The aircraft flew for about three minutes at an altitude of 35 feet (10 meters). Archer said it plans to continue its in-place flying with pedal turns and climb and descent envelope expansion. The eVTOL developer continues to document and share its flight test program on social media, and previously told eVTOL.com that it plans to achieve transition flight by the end of the year.
