Volatus Infrastructure partners with Plana

Volatus Infrastructure, LLC has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) vehicle manufacturer Plana. Volatus and Plana will support each other and work together on vertiport development and integration of eVTOL operations to strengthen the Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) industry.

“The only way the eVTOL industry is going to succeed is through collaboration and working together for the greater good,” said Grant Fisk, Volatus Infrastructure co-founder. “When you find another company that shares your core philosophies, like Plana shares our philosophy of accessibility,  you know it’s going to be a successful partnership.”

Braden J. Kim, CEO of Plana, said, “It is quite a meaningful moment for Plana to sign an MoU with Volatus, which offers top-class eVTOL infrastructure, and to formulate an ecosystem together for accelerating the realization of advanced air mobility in our lives.”

Plana, founded in July 2021, focuses on hybrid powertrain system with a differentiated market strategy, and its VTOL aircraft can carry up to six passengers with one pilot with a cruising speed of 190mph with range of more than 310 miles. Plana plans to finish the eVTOL subscale flight test this year.  Plana plans to launch a branch office in the United States for closer communication and starting the certification process with the FAA, and to participate in the Korean Grand Challenge UAM demonstration project organized by Korea Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport (MOLIT).
