Vita Inclinata equips CalFire’s Firehawk fleet with advanced rescue tech

Vita Inclinata Press Release | January 31, 2025

Estimated reading time 1 minute, 47 seconds.

Vita Inclinata, a provider of intelligent lifting technology and solutions for aerospace and industrial construction industries, announced it deployed 16 Vita Rescue System (VRS) units to the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CAL FIRE) for its Firehawk fleet to enhance the safety and efficiency of CAL FIRE’s aerial firefighting and rescue missions.

The VRS is a state-of-the-art precision-control lifting device designed to eliminate spinning, swinging, and oscillations during hoisting operations.

Equipped with high-torque bi-directional electric propulsion systems and a thrust vectoring system, the VRS measures over 1,000 data points per second to autonomously stabilize loads in challenging environments.

With the Vita Rescue System, CAL FIRE’s aerial operations will experience reduced challenges of rotor downwash, improved operational control, and enhanced safety for both rescuers and civilians.

“Partnering with CAL FIRE on their critical, life-saving missions is an incredible honor,” said Caleb Carr, co-founder and chief executive officer of Vita Inclinata.

“Our precision technology is designed to empower rescue teams with unparalleled control and safety, ensuring they can focus on what matters most: saving lives.”
