UrbanLink Air Mobility LLC (UrbanLink), a South Florida-based advanced air mobility (AAM) operator and leader in sustainable transportation solutions, has announced a strategic partnership with Miami-based FEAM Aero, the largest leading provider of aircraft line maintenance services in the United States.
This collaboration marks a critical step in ensuring the safety, efficiency, and readiness of UrbanLink’s all-electric fleet, including its eVTOL aircraft and sea vessels, as the company continues to redefine sustainable regional transportation.
Headquartered in Miami, FEAM Aero has 52 global line stations in the U.S., the U.K., Europe, etc., and supports more than 130,000 flights annually, servicing 70 operators, including major airlines, cargo carriers, and regional airlines.
This includes four hangar facilities boasting over 300,000 square feet of space and employs a growing workforce of over 1,500 aircraft maintenance technicians and engineers.
Over the years, FEAM Aero has diversified its maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) portfolio to include line maintenance, technical training, global aircraft-on-ground (AOG) support, technical support services, and base maintenance.
The company sees commercial eVTOLS and electric sea vessels as the future of advanced air mobility leading to the recent business partnering with UrbanLink’s approach to the all-electric AAM fleet.
“Partnering with FEAM Aero ensures that our fleet operates at the highest standards of safety and reliability,” said Ed Wegel, founder and chairman of UrbanLink.
“UrbanLink has developed a comprehensive, integrated strategy for global operations. As we move toward launching the first all-electric AAM fleet in the U.S., FEAM Aero’s expertise will be instrumental in reducing downtime and enhancing operational efficiency.”
UrbanLink is positioned to be the first independent operator of all electric AAM solutions and is poised to make history as the first non-OEM-owned airline in the U.S. to integrate eVTOL aircraft into its fleet.
The agreement with FEAM Aero aligns with UrbanLink’s growth strategy, leveraging partnerships with prominent industry leaders to enhance connectivity, efficiency and comfort while delivering a fully integrated sustainable transportation network across air, sea, and ground.
Since its launch in April 2024, UrbanLink has rapidly expanded its fleet to include eVTOL aircraft from Lilium and CRISALION Mobility, the nine-passenger Eviation ALICE aircraft, and electric sea vessels from Regent Craft and Artemis Technologies as well as Traverse Aero’s Orca drones.
“This partnership with UrbanLink marks another significant milestone for FEAM Aero as we continue expanding our role in the rapidly evolving Advanced Air Mobility industry—a field we believe will be revolutionized by eVTOL technology,” said Dan Allawat, chief strategy officer of FEAM Aero.
“Our collaboration with UrbanLink reflects FEAM’s commitment to innovation and our leadership in aviation maintenance. By incorporating our trusted expertise in maintenance with UrbanLink’s approach to establishing a fully integrated sustainable transportation network across air, sea, and ground, positions FEAM at the forefront of the next era in aviation.”
UrbanLink has also forged partnerships with Ferrovial Vertiports and Skyway Technologies to establish strategic vertiports in key markets and signed an agreement with mba Aviation for its Jumpseat Safety Management System (SMS).
Currently focused on servicing Miami/South Florida, Los Angeles/Southern California, Puerto Rico, and the Caribbean, UrbanLink recently announced its expansion to Europe with a strategic focus on the Spanish and Italian markets through CRISALION Mobility’s Integrity eVTOL aircraft.
