On the rapidly evolving light helicopter market, Curti is bringing innovation in both technology and safety, with its lightweight turbine helicopter, Zefhir. Savback Helicopters is delighted to announce this new partnership to bring the innovation to the Northern European markets, including Sweden, Norway, Finland, Latvia and Russia, amongst others.

Zefhir raises the bar in safety and performance in the newborn 600 kilogram ultralight category; the innovative and disruptive ballistic parachute, as well as the overall attention to safety in the design, manufacturing and validation processes, are the key elements of this helicopter.

The parachute, extensively tested as never documented before in aviation history, is a safety device designed to provide an alternative solution added to autorotation that can be used when auto rotation is not possible, due to technical issues or other obstacles. The quick deployment of the parachute makes the device effective at the low altitude of 150 meters.

Customers will appreciate Zefhir’s elegant Italian design, the powerful turboshaft engine, the comfortable and stylish interiors, the efficient, high-inertia and silent rotors and the large luggage van.

“What makes this product truly unique in its segment is the safety. We know our customers are excited about the developments on the helicopter market, and we cannot wait to introduce them to the Zefhir, that we are confident will be an instant success. At Savback Helicopters we always encourage innovation, and we are both proud and excited to meet the future together with Curti,” said Michael Savbäck, founder and head of sales, Savback Helicopters AB.

“As Curti has been working on the Zefhir, we have been following the development of this impressive helicopter closely and with great interest,” said Reja Savbäck, CEO of Savback Helicopters AB. “We’re entering into a phase of innovation in the helicopter industry, and the coming years will be revolutionary for the market. This partnership with Curti is an important next step for us, and we’re excited to be a part of this new chapter in aviation history.”

“Savback Helicopters is the best possible partner for the new segment opened by the recent 600 kg ultralight category, as they can provide us with expert guidance in a market that we face with the new Zefhir helicopter,” said Alessandro Curti, CEO of Curti Industries. “Furthermore, the Savback team and network represents by far the most complete offer for establishing a stable and continuously growing business, thanks to their vision of full service to the final customers: flight schools for a proper and enjoyable training, service and maintenance centers for granting a constant level of safety and reliability to the flying fleet.”
