HAI is pleased to announce the availability of the Helicopter Market Newsletters, formerly published by the Aastad Company, as a free Member benefit. HAI Members, as well as non-member paying subscribers, will receive the Market Newsletters via email link.
The Aastad Company, founded and managed by industry veteran Andreas Aastad, has for years published the newsletters to disseminate U.S. civil rotorcraft market information. In planning for his retirement, Mr. Aastad desired that his work continue, for the benefit of the industry. Accordingly the HAI Board of Directors agreed to purchase Mr. Aastad’s company, and provide this valuable information as a no cost benefit to HAI members.
The two Helicopter Market Newsletters, Turbine and Piston, track U.S. helicopter sales on a monthly basis. But more than just raw numbers of FAA-registered sales, the newsletters provide estimations as to how the helicopters are being used. It is a niche market pioneered by Mr. Aastad that has proved informative and enlightening to subscribers over the years. Mr. Aastad has agreed to help HAI during the business transition.
Long-time subscribers to the Helicopter Market Newsletters may notice some minor changes in their format, and more changes can be expected in the months ahead, to include additional market tracking parameters and graphic charts supplementing the tables.
Subscriptions to the Helicopter Market Newsletters are a new benefit for HAI Members at no extra charge. Non-members can subscribe to the Market Letters on a paid quarterly basis. For more information, contact HAI at marketletters@rotor.com or 703-683-4646.
HAI wishes Andy Aastad all the best, and thanks him for his unique contributions to the civil helicopter industry.
