The Ninety-Nines, International Organization of Women Pilots, welcomes Jill van Egmond as its new executive director.
Van Egmond brings a wealth of experience in nonprofit leadership, organizational development, and mission-driven engagement. With a strong strategic vision and a deep passion for empowering communities, she is exceptionally well-suited to lead the world’s oldest organization of women pilots into its next chapter.

In her new role, van Egmondl will oversee day-to-day operations, collaborate closely with the international board of directors, and lead efforts to strengthen member engagement.
She will guide key initiatives that support the advancement of women in aviation, including educational outreach to youth, leadership development, mentorship, and scholarship programs. Van Egmond will be based at The Ninety-Nines’ international headquarters in Oklahoma City.
Founded in 1929 by 99 women pilots—including aviation pioneer and first president Amelia Earhart—The Ninety-Nines has grown into a vibrant international organization of over 8,000 members in more than 40 countries. The group remains dedicated to honoring the legacy of women in aviation while inspiring future generations through education, mentorship, and mutual support.
