Entrol expands presence in Australia with the sale of a Bell 429 FTD Level 5 simulator to Meridian Helicopters

Entrol, the manufacturer of EASA and FAA certified FNPT, FTD, and FFS flight simulators, announced the sale of a Bell 429 FTD Level 5 simulator to Meridian Helicopters, based in Townsville, Australia.

Scheduled for installation in Summer 2025, this state-of-the-art simulator represents Entrol’s commitment to delivering cutting-edge solutions for pilot training.

A high-tech solution tailored to Meridian Helicopters

The Bell 429 FTD Level 5 simulator combines advanced features to support Meridian Helicopters’ training objectives. Key highlights include:

●       Realistic cockpit design: The simulator is equipped with real Garmin GTN 650 and GTN 750 avionics, ensuring authenticity in navigation and communication training.

●       Cylindrical visual system: With a 200ºx40º field of view, this system delivers unparalleled clarity and situational awareness for pilots.

●       Advanced options: Features such as a Forward-Looking Infrared Camera (FLIR) and vibration systems simulate real-world flight conditions, enabling pilots to practice complex scenarios in a controlled environment.
