Airwork appoints new head of overhaul

Airwork has announced the appointment of Pieter van Wyk to the position of head of overhaul at the Ardmore facility which comprises its Airbus D level, Honeywell LTS101, Breeze Eastern Hoist Service centers and its RR250 repair and overhaul shop.

Pieter has been with Airwork New Zealand 13 years and is an experienced aviation manager with a demonstrated history of working in the aviation and aerospace industry. Pieter’s career commenced in 1980 in the military with the South African Air Force, progressing from helicopter apprentice, technician, flight engineer to rank of lieutenant colonel.

 Pieter’s transition to the civilian environment includes MRO manager (helicopter and engine divisions) at Eurocopter and Pratt and Whitney CSC based in South Africa.

Pieter is an exceptional individual, and his positive attitude complements the high-quality deliverables of the turbine and dynamic component workshops.
