Air Methods Announces New Senior Vice President of Air Medical Services Division

Air Methods Corporation (NASDAQ: AIRM) announced today that, effective January 4, 2006, Mike Allen assumed the position of senior vice president of the Company’s Air Medical Services Division.  Mr. Allen has served in a number of management and pilot capacities for Air Methods since joining the Company in 1992 and has 20 years of substantive aviation/management experience.  Mr. Allen is a graduate of Portland State University with a B.S. in Mathematics.

Mr. Allen fills the vacancy created by the resignation of Mr. Neil Hughes, which became effective January 3, 2006.  To ensure a smooth transition of his responsibilities, Mr. Hughes will continue to function as a senior advisor to the CEO for an interim period.
