“We are incredibly pleased to open this base and to be serving the residents of our
community,” said Britta Thomason, program director for the Laurens County operation. “Air Evac Lifeteam is proud to continue to work alongside first responders and the medical community in Laurens County and the region, as well as increase our overall support to local EMS and healthcare systems.”

The operation will fly a twin-engine H-135 aircraft that is instrument flight rules (IFR) capable. Future plans for the operation include the addition of specialty transports to supplement current Georgia bases with increased clinical and aviation capabilities.

“This is Air Evac Lifeteam’s 14th base in Georgia, and second aircraft located in Laurens County, alongside the longstanding AE 102 operation in Dublin, GA,” Thomason said. “We anticipate this aircraft will serve as a state asset and provide transports for EMS services and hospitals across Georgia.”
