United Rotorcraft Solutions Awarded Customizing Contract by Newtown Aviation on Bell 407

United Rotorcraft Solutions (URS) has been awarded a completions contract by Newtown Aviation Ltd. of Ireland on a new Bell 407.

The 407 will receive a complete avionics and communications suite to include the Garmin Comm/Nav/GPS GNS530AW with the SL-40 for the second Comm; the GTX-330 transponder and GMA347H Audio Control. Also included are the Honeywell KR87 ADF and KCS55A HSI Compass System, the TransCal Blind Encoder and the Mid-Continent Turn & Bank and ADI with battery back-up.

The airframe will be modified with the door opener kit; preflight kit, air conditioner and the heater with defroster.

The Bell 407 began work this week at URS facility with delivery expected by the end of February.
