Boeing to overhaul, upgrade U.S. Army CH-47 Chinook engine transmission assembly

Boeing has been awarded a firm-fixed-price contract to overhaul and upgrade the engine transmission assembly for U.S. Army CH-47 Chinook helicopters.

The contract is valued at $87,984,634.

“Work locations and funding will be determined with each order,” the U.S. Department of Defense said in a statement.

It’s expected the work will occur over the next four years, with an estimated completion date of Feb. 1, 2028. Army Contracting Command, Redstone Arsenal, Alabama, is the contracting activity.
