Description:Structures Mechanic responsible for repair and build-up/refurbishment of military helicopters. This is a contract role, permanent hire is highly encouraged after 6 months. Day shift, inside hangar, with full shop support.Daily Responsibilities:-Receive task card in morning meeting-Consult blueprints for the relevant install or repair-Select tooling from tool crib or personal toolbox-Perform repairs by riveting, countersinking, bending and cutting sheetmetal, installing structural componentsMechanics will be assigned to tasks based on abilities: Mechanics with more fabrication ability will fab, installers will install, etc.Skills:structures,sheetmetal,mechanic,aviation,aircraft,install,riveting,blueprintsAdditional Skills Qualifications:Must have own tools – Basic hand toolsA P preferred but not requiredMust be able to drill, cut, bend, countersink, rivet aircraft sheetmetalMust be comfortable performing a Structures test – few dozen rivets, a couple of bendsMedium to heavy-lift helicopter experience preferredAbout Aerotek:We know that a companys success starts with its employees.
