Job Requirements

High school graduate or general education degree (GED) Factory airframe/power plant schools preferred Experience: 2 to 5 years related experience and or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience FAR 135 operations preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Proficient with Microsoft Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook Flightdocs experience preferred Electrical troubleshooting and refined vibration-balancing Sheet metal and composite repair procedures Ability to read and understand various documents such as 337s, Service Bulletins, ADs, etc Required Licensure/Certifications: Federal Aviation Administration Airframe and Powerplant license NMHC Standard Valid Class D driver's license in state of residency and acceptable driving record NMHC Standard

Job Description

The Aircare Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining aircraft to airworthiness standards.

Traveling to AirCare bases: Crystal, MN, Bemidji, MN, Grand Rapids, MN, Brainerd, MN, Princeton, MN, Redwood Falls, MN, Faribault, MN, and Siren, WI.
Off-Premise Call: every 6 weeks, Friday AM to Friday AM for after-hours needs
The typical shift is ~6 am-2 pm M-F
Must own basic set of hand tools

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:
Accountabilities:

Maintains aircraft to airworthiness standards prescribed referencing and implementing applicable FAA regulations, OEM Aircraft Manufacturer maintenance manuals, Airworthiness Directives, Service Bulletins, and good practices for all aircraft in the inventory.
Performs periodic inspections of aircraft to determine suitability for flights.
Performs ongoing maintenance of discrepancy items. Defers items according to MEL and tracks deferred items for timely repair.
Conducts major aircraft inspections according to approved methods.
Assists Supervisor in monitoring aircraft total time and component overhaul times.
Performs on-call duty as scheduled by Supervisor.
Performs troubleshooting and servicing of aircraft and engine systems and components in accordance with industry standards
Assists in accurate and timely initiation of parts and component ordering as needed
Provide accurate, timely information and analysis to supervisors and pilots to ensure the safety of flight and FAR compliance.
Compliance with all federal, state, and local OSHA regulations
Accurately document all maintenance actions in accordance with FAA FARs and applicable Operations Manual
Accepts other duties as assigned to promote the accomplishment of organizational goals.
The team member is accountable for demonstrating proficiency in the skills outlined in the appropriate position skills list.
The team member is accountable to maintain skill proficiency, including improvement where deemed necessary, and upgrading any additional or new skills on the appropriate position skills list.
