First Aviation (FAvS), a leader in rotorcraft and fixed-wing maintenance and repair, is looking for a dynamic, entrepreneurial sales representative to join its team. 

FAvS is a leading provider of repair and overhaul and related engineering services to the corporate, military, and commercial aviation industry worldwide. FAvS operating subsidiaries include Aerospace Turbine Rotables, Inc., Piedmont Propulsion Systems, LLC., Aviation Blade Services Inc., Heliblade International Inc. and Associated Aircraft Manufacturing and Sales Inc.

The rotorcraft and turboprop sales representative will provide sales, business development and marketing support for FAvS’s portfolio of rotorcraft and propeller component MRO capabilities. The position is customer facing, representing the brand globally and managing and enhancing business relationships that meet and further exceed revenue expectations of the organization. The position requires a high level of dedication, motivation, creatively, a personable character that allows for diverse clientele communication, and advanced problem-solving skills.

The ideal candidate will plan and direct marketing and sales activities to meet or exceed business plans, goals and objectives in support of the maintenance, repair, and overhaul of rotorcraft products. An in-depth knowledge of the commercial and military rotorcraft international marketplace is key and understanding of the turboprop market would be an added advantage.

Duties shall include but are not limited to the following:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive short and long-term sales plans and programs that will achieve the sales and revenue targets and objectives.
  • Provide sales support for multiple product lines within the rotorcraft and turboprop business.
  • Proactive tracking and documenting of market opportunities.
  • Develop your aviation network, and leverage relationships to find new customers for the MRO business.
  • Analyze data and information to find ways to improve sales and future opportunities.
  • Developing target client opportunities through outbound sales calls, e-mails and visits (both face-to-face and virtual).
  • Maintain relationships with clients to ensure repeat business.
  • Function as liaison between internal organizations and customers.
  • Represent the company at all sales, marketing and networking functions internally and externally.
  • Continue to develop and expand the existing CRM system to help track prospects, existing and historic customers
  • Assist the marketing department in the development and deployment of sales collateral, proposals and presentation materials.
  • Monitor U.S. Government contracting tools such as sam.gov, PROSV etc
  • Assist in the development of regional budgets and sales goals annually.
  • Manage internal communication concerning sales and account management.
  • Manage reporting and management reviews across business segments to provide clear guidance on sales performance.

Minimum knowledge, abilities, and skills:

  • Experience with both DoD and foreign military contracting practices is a benefit
  • Understands, embraces and enjoys exceeding goals and objectives in a competitive environment.
  • Demonstrates an understanding of rotorcraft and propeller function and pertinent sub-components
  • Ability to work independently and be accountable for the successful completion of required job functions.
  • Aviation MRO sales experience required, rotorcraft market knowledge distinct advantage.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively and professionally communicate.
  • Strong numeracy skills.
  • Exceptional communication, attention to detail and problem-solving skills are essential
  • Highly organized and self-motivated


Requirements:

  • Technical aviation background is preferred as is a bachelor’s degree in aviation management, business, marketing, communications, finance or similar.
  • Minimum five years relatable experience
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead programs/projects.
  • Ability to document, plan, market, and execute.
  • Must be able to pass a 10-year background/criminal/DMV/drug screen
  • Domestic and international travel will be required.
