Tampa Bay Aviation operates at the Clearwater Airpark (KCLW), Tampa Executive Airport (KVDF), St. Pete-Clearwater International Airport (KPIE) and Albert Whitted (KSPG) and operates a fleet of over 30 aircraft including a variety of Robinson helicopters and many small single and light twin airplanes including Cessna, Piper, and Tecnam aircraft. We offer flight training and aerial services in both airplanes and helicopters. Tampa Bay Aviation is a part 61 and 141 flight school. TBA is also a certified Robinson Helicopter Service Center.

Job Description

Tampa Bay Aviation is now hiring a full-time Director of Maintenance FAA certificated A P Technician for our FAA part 141 Flight School. CANDIDATES MUST HAVE GENERAL AVIATION EXPERIENCE WITH EXPERIENCE IN A MANAGERIAL ROLE AND AT LEAST ONE YEAR HANDS ON RECIPROCATING ENGINE EXPERIENCE AS AN A P. Inspection Authorization is required. Experience on the following aircraft make/models are a plus:FIXED WING
Cessna
Piper
Cirrus
Tecnam

HELICOPTERS
-Robinson R22/R44

POWERPLANTS
-Lycoming
-Continental -RotaxPrincipal Duties and Responsibilities:

Troubleshoot and address squawk issues
Perform maintenance in accordance with policies, procedures, requirements, and specifications established by the Company, aircraft manufacturers, and FAA as contained in approved maintenance manuals
Function as a liaison between our Company and the FAA for audits and inspections
Taxi and run up aircraft
Perform 50/100 Hour and Annual Inspections
Determine airworthiness of aircraft and components, IAW established procedures and Federal Aviation Regulations
Ability to read and interpret aircraft maintenance manuals and specifications to determine feasibility and methods of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components
Assure completeness of all assigned work documents and records and assist in the cleanup of the maintenance work area
Supervise work of 8-10 other maintenance staff
Prepare and maintain log book entries
Help maintain inventory levels of stocked items
Maintain tracked items for different aircraft in Flight Schedule Pro
Research Airworthy Directives
