CBP San Diego Quality Control Inspector (IA AP Required)

Job Title: CBP Quality Control InspectorLocation: San Diego, CAPay: $45.04/hrPreferred Airframes: MEA, UH60, AS350, C206Required Certifications: FAA Airframe and Powerplant Certificate, with Inspection Authorization (IA) (Mandatory per contract) Basic Function:#183;Responsible for the managementofall Quality Assurance Programs from PMO. Ensuresmaintenance performance is complied with in accordance with PAE, FAA, DoDstandards and Technical Orders as required by government contract. #183;May be designated as ChiefInspector, in absence of the Full time Chief Inspector and or QC Supervisor. #183;Reports directly to the PAESite Manager and or Site Supervisor. #183;Ensuresthat the performance of required aircraft airworthiness inspections are carriedout and that forms and certifications appropriate to both military (TM’s) and FAAType Certificated aircraft are prepared appropriately per specific aircrafttype regulations. #183;Ensurethat all assigned aircraft meet required operating standards for flight as wellas safety requirements.#183;Monitorall required forms and reports related to aircraft, as well as the relatedparts inventory, parts usage, and associated ground support equipment.#183;Reviewaircraft and engine logbooks.#183;Reviewand monitor engine trend analysis, oil analysis, hydraulic sampling programs,and trends in aircraft material condition.#183;Investigaterepeat discrepancies, determine the cause(s), and identify the necessarycorrective actions.#183;Makeentries into the CARMAC / AMFAMS System using the Aircraft Maintenance ReportingSystem or other reports as required per government contract. #183;Assistin general housekeeping and clean#8209;up.#183;Coordinatetraining and safety functions as required at selected sites. Conduct FODWalkdowns as needed weekly. #183;Participateand comply within PAE’s Safety Management System as applicable per contract. #183;Complywith and enforce PAE customers Tool FOD Control program asprescribed per government contract. Qualifications:#183;Requiresan FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A P) license with a current InspectionAuthorization (IA). Have at least (3) years of experience in a similar full#8209;timeaircraft maintenance environment.#183;Haveat least five (5) years recent experience working full#8209;time as an aircraft andpowerplant mechanic.#183;Musthave above average working knowledge of both military and general aviationaircraft and systems.#183;Haveexperience and knowledge in upkeep of aircraft/engines and systems.#183;Requiresexperience and knowledge of aircraft/engine maintenance records and logbooks. #183;Havedemonstrated a record of successful technical performance, reliability andinitiative.#183;Mustpossess analytical ability to objectively evaluate another individual’s jobperformance from the Quality/Safety aspect. #183;Mustpossess thorough knowledge of PAE Quality Policies and Procedures.#183;Mustpossess a thorough knowledge of those functions which are monitored.#183;Musthave the ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and inwriting.#183;Mustbe able to obtain a DoD Security Clearance as required and if needed percontract and customers operational needs.#183;Mustbe able to obtain a passport, visa and be able to perform worldwide travel onshort notice for customers operational needs as required.
