Job Description

Precision is seeking a full-time AS350 Helicopter Pilot that will be based on a scientific research vessel that operates globally. Flying operations include but are not limited to; Film, Survey, Personnel Transfers, VIP/VVIP Transfers, Cargo Movements to support the ships oceanic scientific research missions and shiprsquo;s crew and guests.
Rotations will be as ship schedule allows, typically no more then 4 weeks on at a time. Berthing on the boat is shared with the Mechanic. The ship operates globally and is anticipated to spend much of the next few years in the south pacific.
It should be expected that once in country the pilot will be responsible for filing flight plans, obtaining daily flight permissions and some airport/heliport landing permissions. Operating permits will be obtained by Project Manager prior to operations commencing, however some permissions are required to be filed 72-24 hours prior to flights and the Program Manager is not always able to obtain these in a timely manner. Being prepared to work with the local agents, FBOs and CAA is essential.
Ideal candidates can work independently within his/her areas of responsibilities under limited supervision, excited to represent Precision, LLC in front of key customers, including foreign governments, community leaders, and business partners, and willing to assist in other projects or duties as assigned.

Job Responsibilities

Pilot the AS350B3e aircraft based on a scientific research vessel starting June 2024
Cover the contract preferably on a month on month off schedule.
The pilot is responsible and expected to present the aircraft and operation in a professional manner to the customer.
Good judgment and compliance with SOPs is expected to safely operate the aircraft.
